On Saturday, April 25th, people across the country will come together for the Communities Not Cages National Day of Action — a coordinated, nationwide mobilization against the Trump administration’s reckless expansion of ICE warehouse detention and its assault on the due process rights of immigrants and all Americans.

According to Axios, “ICE is preparing to spend $38 billion this year on a ‘new detention center model’ that will hold nearly 100,000 people.” Mobilize lays out the situation succinctly: “The Department of Homeland Security is moving to lock thousands of people in massive detention warehouses — disappearing them from their families, their lawyers, and their communities. We’re taking to the streets to make clear that we stand for dignity, justice, and the rule of law.”
