or How to Build The Museum of Lies and Liars
I made a promise to myself that I would not watch the unspeakable speak before the Congress. And of course, that old devil curiosity got the better of me and I watched it. It was predictable in all ways. You could teach a small child arithmetic by making him or her count the lies.
Let me start with something that touches my heart and life. My Social Security. Something Vance and Musk hate because it keeps the elderly alive, and feeds the cranks for democracy like me. Those of us who have the audacity to live into their eighties, or in my case their nineties, have clearly violated the fascist law of nature.
Removing the long-established SS would not only help them cut taxes for the super-rich but help to make way for the new robots who will have ageism and other forms of bigotry built into them by the lords of finance and Silicon Valley. Their DEI will be programmed to “Destroy Equality and Integrity” so that they could assist President Musk and his low flying monkeys to dismantle our democracy.
I watched the VP as he popped up and down to applaud every lie that came from Trump, who looked like a Sumo wrestler in drag — praising Musk for finding all of the notorious 300-year-old grifters who are collecting SS. As a 93-year-old man, I want to find these remarkable people and learn how they did it. Would like another two hundred years of oatmeal and bacon.
I was born in 1932 at the birth of German fascism and I will not leave the scene until I see this new fascism driven from power. It had a thirteen-year run then — but it died in a bunker. It happened because the world slept, but we have an alarm clock in the MAGA GOP that must awaken us — now. The elephant is up and eager to stomp the innocent. That is one helluva reason to keep living, but it is mine. Back to Tuesday night’s Nuremberg rally.
Did you notice how much attention Trump paid to the trans community? Almost as much as Hitler paid to demonizing the Jews. And so little attention to the economy with its threatening recession with high prices that threaten the middle class way of life. And of course, everything bad was named Biden. “Joe broke it Daddy. I just came in to pick up the pieces.”
The childishness of the lies were big winners among the Republicans in the Congress who stood to applaud like jumping jacks — I waited for one of them to propose the building of a Museum of Lies and Liars near the Smithsonian, built with the money appropriated to help the starving in Africa, hungry kids in America, or by Musk ending Medicaid. Or taken from Medicare and SS. Musk dared to call Social Security a Ponzi scheme. So what do we call the Elon plans for America — a Musk-Trap?. Snap and another middle class family is destroyed as they foolishly go for the MAGA cheese.
P.S. Young Senator Elissa Slotkin was poised and polished, and so well informed as she expertly dismantled the speech in the Democratic response. She is a rising young Democrat, wise beyond her years, worth watching and paying heed to her wise words. She advised that we pick a cause that we care about and fight for it. Do not allow yourself to become overwhelmed by the many legislative and real-life atrocities that are coming from the White House and the Musk Monarchy.
And let me add this: We the people must soon assemble in non-violent protest — anything that appears to get rowdy will allow the death hungry president to call out the military so that he can use the insurrection act and bring blood to the streets, something this thug is itching to do. Let us be smarter than smart — peaceful protest has worked in the past and it will work today but the opposition cannot wait until the tyrants destroy themselves — the time to act is always now.
Believe it or not Tuesday night gave me hope. These lies cannot stand up to reality. And in the evening news the bald eagles had twins after a struggle to have living chicks. Nature may well be the best teacher. Do not abandon hope and you will also have two eaglets. Perhaps three who will soar above the roiling waters below and show us that the sky belongs to those who have the courage to fly high and fly free.

Let me think about what I would write. I’m getting ready to travel, so wouldn’t be able to get to work on it until sometime in April Thanks for asking!
