I went back today and looked at the first post in this blog. Dated March 13, 2020 and titled Building virtual community, it begins: So, how are we going to do this? What I was referring to then, of course, was the pandemic that was isolating us and leaving us to flounder on our own in the unwelcome new world into which we were being thrust.

The next paragraph read:

But we don’t have to feel so alone. It is my hope that this space can help us feel less isolated. I offer it as a virtual location where we can meet to share experiences, fears, observations, thoughts, information… whatever.

Once again, many of us are floundering, wondering how to meet the challenges of a whole other kind of disease which this country wasn’t able to inoculate itself against. And, once again, I am offering this space as a place to share, vent, or brainstorm.

It made a difference during Covid when we came together as a virtual community in which we supported one another. I include in my invitation those who may have voted for Trump but are becoming concerned about the policies of this new administration.

I don’t know about you, but I am tired already and could use the company. I’ll end this post the way I concluded that first one:

Send me an email. I might do some light editing (that is what I do, after all) and will post the ones that feel like a fit. Please include your name (let me know if you’d prefer just using initials or first name) and city or county.

Let’s get through this together.
