Taking my cue from Governor Cuomo, I am stepping back from the daily publication of this blog. I still welcome your submissions—about any topic that feels alive to you and speaks to our current condition—and plan to post my own as well, but it seems that this is a turning point, a good opportunity to reassess the best use of my time and energy. There are other projects I would like to focus on and I want to give this one some time to breathe. This isn’t goodbye, but I do want to say thank you for your presence and support over these past three months. We shall see where the next weeks and months bring us. I trust our connection and our spirits will remain strong.

  1. As the Corona Support Blog included another pandemic, systemic racism, I now look forward to its next journey. Many posts expressed my own concerns and fears, especially during this time of social distancing.

As our country is healing from these two pandemics, I will patiently await your next posts, Ruth, as well as the submissions by many others. It is comforting to know that we are not alone.

    1. Corona Virus 🦠 is now at another peak, we have no one to lead with the NY declines! We gave away our demand for Masks, when it became political, as simple as wearing a mask to help!

  2. Dear Ruth…I shall miss your daily posts, but I truly understand why you might like to step back from that practice for a while. I am not crazy, though, about losing messages from both you and Gov. Cuomo in the same week! Oh well, perhaps it is a turning point for all of us, including me, to find some different ways of spending our pandemic time.

Do take good care of yourself (as you are doing with this decision).

    Sending my love,

    Ellin

  3. Ruth, thank you for bringing us together during this time of social isolation. I have appreciated hearing from you and the wide range of folks you have shared through the blog, including Gov. Cuomo and Bruce Springsteen! Thanks, too, for recognizing the fluidity in our lives (including yours) during this time of transformation. It takes courage and wisdom to start something AND to take a pause. Both inspire me.
