Today, I want to share something that has no words but still poignantly and eloquently speaks to the moment with beauty and heart.

House Democrats pass $3 trillion coronavirus relief bill despite Trump’s veto threat—WaPo

No words today

32 premier ballerinas from 22 dance companies in 14 countries perform Le Cygne (The Swan) variation sequentially, with music by Camille Saint-Saëns, performed by cellist Wade Davis, in support of Swans for Relief. When I saw Maya Plisetskaya perform it in the mid-70s, it was called The Dying Swan. Perhaps, these days, they thought it better to leave that word out of the middle. The tenderness of the feeling still remains, whatever it is called.

While you can watch for free, this virtual event was created to raise money for ballet dancers who are not able to work because of the coronavirus, to help them cover rent and other living expenses. As of posting time, they have reached almost half their $500,000 goal.
