Of all the evils that the current GOP MAGA politicos are engaged in today it is perhaps their war against the tiny minority of transgender people that is the most despicable. Pick on the smallest population who only wish to live their lives in peace and make them a target of bigotry and hate, thereby putting their lives in danger by cheering on the bullies and the haters. It comes straight from the Nazi playbook where the small population of Jews and what were once called Gypsies were singled out for extinction. Fascism is a tired old word but when it fits it feels shamefully new again.

But who are the real trans people who endanger the world? Those who would TRANSform our democracy into a totalitarian state, those who take all that was good that was America — from foreign aid that helped eradicate disease in poor countries to health care for those poor in our own country — and TRANSform it from benevolent and caring to harsh and cruel. These TRANS-formers who fire career public workers who keep our planes from crashing, our nuclear facilities safe, and our children learning — there is no bottom to their barrel — they celebrate their evil as if it were cause for a national holiday. I hope to be here — old as I am today — to see the defeat of those who cannot allow innocent others to live our their lives in peace.

And do we want all the hard earned wealth of the nation TRANSferred into the pockets of Muskian billionaires?

Sadly, with the crude treatment of the great Ukrainian Zelensky, we can add the TRANSformation of our government into a blackmailer of the worst kind — demanding the mineral rights of a small country fighting for its life — or threatening to cease to help it. Even if we get those mineral rights, will we keep a promise to help it to survive? I doubt it. In the few weeks of the Trump administration we have seen again and again that lies are truths. Our best friends in Europe, particularly those in NATO, have overnight become our enemies when we join forces with a Russia that threatens Eastern Europe, and any strongman who Trump admires. And who would ever believe that our Canadian and Mexican neighbors would be the victims of an American colonialism?

Yes, DJT and his cohorts have brought a new element in our country — they have TRANSformed America’s pride as a great nation in the free world into the deepest shame.
